Deactivated Facebook

no_facebookThe last time I deleted Facebook, it lasted just 3 days and I reactivated it again. This time though, it looks like I’m not gonna activate that account again, at least for a longer period than the last time. Guess, like many of the other things that I’ve grown out of, Facebook is one of them. A few of my fb friends messaged me on whatsapp “dude! u aren’t on fb”, guess a message like that doesn’t even deserve a reply. Its not like it was helpful in anyway. I am still very much accessible on Gmail or G-Chat or google+, whatever that is. Or better still, if you miss me and you wanna talk, come over for a visit…you might just be lucky, if I am in a generous mood, you will get 2 slices of cake with coffee. Now isn’t that better than just a stupid comment on Facebook. We could learn a lot of thing from our parents, they lived in a world without things like this and actually made time for friends. No harm in we trying to do the same thing, it’s just that we hear so often from people “Who has the time?” If you don’t have the time, MAKE the time, it’s as simple as that! We can make time for television or a party or watch a film, we surely can make time for friends.
On the positive side, ever since I’ve deactivated Facebook and Twitter, I have been spending more time on my blog, writing up on different topics that keep me interested, something that I love doing.
A perfect example of, something good coming out of a total waste of time like Facebook. It’s been 4 days since I am off the Facebook network and I plan to keep it that way.
