Sometimes you come across a certain person over a social networking site or a chat room and there is an instant connection you feel when you chat with that person. A perfect stranger, you have never met him/her before…you don’t know anything besides the person’s name or id…but as time passes by, and as you get to know more about each other, you feel comfortable conversing with this person…and a friendship begins to blossom.
Strange, that it’s happened to me so many times. I have had the good fortune of meeting people online, who in time I have met in real and it’s blossomed into wonderful friendships. I am very choosy when it comes to my friends. My close friends are more like family to me, if you belong to the circle of ‘my closest friends’, then you are definitely part of my family too…my extended family, and nobody…yes nobody fools around with them. I don’t have a long list, but the very few that I have are very very special.
Here on WordPress, I have come across some really wonderful people, but among all of them stands out a special ONE…again ‘A Perfect Stranger’! absolutely had no idea she existed until I stumbled upon her blog one day. She named her blog ‘Simply Complicated’. The author of which goes by the name of Simran Gandhi. I call her simmi for short, I think it suits her cute looks.
It’s a little over 2 months that I simmi and I are friends on this blogging platform. I still do not know simmi personally, but for the messages we exchange occasionally. We haven’t met each other or even spoken to each other as yet…but then what is the hurry? She ain’t running away, nor am I. The little I do know of her of the few interactions that we’ve had online is that she comes across as a very warm person, fun and full of life. Very responsible and she’s got a heart of gold. She’s a kind of person who everyone would want to have as a friend and I would like to believe I am lucky to have found her…she is one adorable girl and a gem of a person. It says we are always for the lookout for the kind of person who is just the opposite of us, in many ways simmi is that kinda girl…so it’s so much fun exchanging messages with her because she is sure to come up with something that will probably never cross my mind and will say something that will bring an instant smile on my face. To put the cherry on the cake, she is smart too…she’s studying to be a C.A, you have got to have some serious brains for that! A very rare combination of Beauty+Brains.
Don’t even let me begin commenting on her smile. I’ve only seen it in the one photograph so far but I can only imagine, simmi flashing her 100 watts smile when I meet her in person…
Being an English teacher, adjectives is something I love to teach my babies at school…so I could basically go on with this all night…
My friend’s say I make a very good friend, once I catch your hand in friendship, I don’t let go so easily…it’s more like friends forever after that…looks like you’ll become one too… simmi. Not every day you find a fruit and nut friendship…a fruit like me and a nut like you (or is it the other way round?)
