A life on lease

lease/liːs/

noun
  1. a contract by which one party conveys services. to another for a specified time, usually in return for a periodic payment.

Everything is on rent these days:Untitled
-Furniture
-Electronics
-Cars
-Love

Yes!! Love too. Everything comes with an expiry date, A ‘Start’ date and an ‘End’ date. Give it whatever fancy name you want… Friendship, Marriage, Relationship. It is all the same at the end of the day.

What if we lived our life in such a way that, we take everything we “supposedly own” and think of it as we are paying for it, on a rental basis [quarterly, monthly, yearly] wouldn’t we then make the “best” of it?

 – Time?
– Money?
– Talents?
– Body?

Imagine if you’re told, you are allowed to use your body only from 11.30 am – to 3.30 pm everyday, the rest of the time you are just a wandering soul with no identity. Wouldn’t you put it to the best use in that limited time? Or the air we breathe, the water we drink – all limited, time based. Imagine living in a life like that!

We take a lot of things for granted in our life, That’s not the only thing, the ungrateful humans that we are… we go one step ahead and abuse these things too.

We ought to be ashamed of ourselves! Don’t you think so?
