What is your favorite?

No matter what you do and where you are, you will find times in your life where you  would find the need to gift another person with something they would remember you by.

christmas-gift-300x280Not all gifts come in big boxes, some come in kind too.

The secret of giving a really great gift is to give them something… that represents them – that’s what I believe.. but then again, I’ve never been a real gift-y kinda person. Yes-over the years, I’ve given little things, to friends, family, near and dear ones, to the people who are close to me – things like a hand made card with a handwritten message, a soft toy, a recorded CD of songs etc.

However, they will come a time in your life, when a HUG will be the most precious gift you can gift another person – more than all the money and parcels in boxes… it is the time we spend with another person – that people actually crave for. A kind word, a warm hug and a few minutes of your time. 11009171_828711537199423_8441515451596340030_n

A Hug is a Hug, 🤗 you either give it or you don’t.. and trust me, I don’t go about hugging everyone…

You don’t need an occasion to gift someone something.. gifts can be given anytime, to anyone and for any reason… it simply needs to come from a caring heart. You don’t give people gifts because you expect something back, you give them gifts because they mean something to you… and might be someday it would come back to you BIGGER than it was before.

Be innovative with your gifting, not every emotion can be fitted into a neatly wrapped up box. People deserve better.

That said, there’s a special place in my heart for those people whose gifts come in the form of  😋 a cooked dish 😋 a delicious cake/dessert  😋 or  😋 a plain snack 😋 Now that’s being innovative! Thinking out of the box – literally!

  1. I love gifting to people…there was a time when i really wanted to be santa so that I can give gifts to all people at christmas…😍😍😍 I really loved the idea of giving gifts to the people I love and care for…to show them that I do love them with all my heart…i usually made different cards or anything innovative to give them as gifts because they hold my innerfelt emotions the best…
Now we are grown up and entangled in our own problems, so I really cant make gifts for them, still I try to put my heart and soul to everything that i decide to give as gifts…

Loved your writing…I felt nostalgic 💖 and smiled all way along 😊

  2. Lovely post. A hand made gift is priceless. The hard work, the love, care and feelings that go into gifting someone a card or anything made by one’s own hands deserves appreciation and respect. It’s the mind and heart of the person that’s pure when they gift others without any expectation and that’s rare.

Wishing you and family a happy Diwali.

Happy Diwali, Savitha. Diwali, also a wonderful time to exchange gifts…more of sweets I suppose. Still, like I say – food is welcome anytime
